I am a playlist junkie. It only takes a quick browse through my iPod to see just how ridiculous I am. I have playlists for every mood and season, playlists for studying and playlists for dance parties, playlists made with hope of things to come and playlists made after hard goodbyes. Sometime some one's lyrics can just say it better than I ever could.
I am caught in the middle of so many things. I'm writing this post from the kitchen in Huntsville, UT - definitely middle ground, even though I know this house almost as well as my wonderfully ghetto/purple apartment in Provo or my tiny little brick house in Idaho. The weather, as is typical in Utah, can't seem to stick with one season. It's cold and cloudy outside, but the grass is a lovely spring green. I'm in between my sophomore and junior years at BYU. My twentieth birthday is looming in the not-so-distant future, but I still feel like a little girl sometimes.
This summer is full of exciting things, but right now I'm waiting for it all to get started & hoping that I can quit playing monkey in the middle. With the help of a few new playlists to help me think things through, I think I'm figuring it out.
In the meantime - checkout the songs on my blog playlist - they are there for a reason.

I Would Write a REAL Post, But...
I think I left a large portion of my brain behind in the testing center. bleh.
(cue list of incredibly obvious observations)
- I am finished with my sophomore year at Brigham Young University. woo.
- This means I am now a JUNIOR at Brigham Young University. That sounds like a big deal.
- I turn twenty this summer. This also sounds like a big deal.
- I am going to India for almost a month in August. This IS a big deal.
- My right arm is still a little bit tingly from that beast of a test I just finished.
- 3 months of almost absolute freedom are in front of me.
- This summer is going to be full of "events." Events meaning things that are scheduled to happen this summer that may or may not have a huge affect on the course of the rest of my life.
- I was a little bit sunburned yesterday. Today I am not. But I do have some pretty sweet tanlines.
- I am absolutely smitten & swooning over this car. It's on my wishlist for my birthday.
- Everyone is moving out. I think it's gonna be a bit lonely around here for the next few days.
- I would very much like it if Jess decided to give me her jean shorts. I am totally smitten with them.
- I am in a floaty sort of mood. I want to go do something... I don't really know what...I think just about anything would be acceptable.
- I currently LOVE this song.
- I really really really really really REALLY don't want to do anything even remotely productive right now. Hence this list.

Love is in the Air
Everyone, no seriously, I am not exaggerating, EVERYONE is getting engaged. I think there have been 5 new engagement albums pop up on my facebook since last Friday. There are about 7 couples just in my singles ward. I have gotten three bridal shower invitations in a week. Don't get me wrong, I really am very happy for all you lover birds. It's just...it's weird.
I am now the exact same age that my mother was when she married my dad. I think I'm the only girl from my home ward in Idaho my age that ISN'T married. I feel like an old maid & I'm not even twenty. & I am still much too silly to be married. I'm not ready to grow up that much yet.
Not that I'm in any rush... life as a single lady is just way too good to let go of just yet. I am still much to silly to be married. I'm not ready to grow up that much yet...but there are couples everywhere. & I...I...I just needed to say something about it. I feel better now.
And for all you blissful newly engaged lovers - check out THIS AWESOME WEBSITE. My cousin & her husband have been doing photography for years, but they've just decided to really go for it and make it their business. Tell them you know me & Alvin will pull funny faces to make you smile genuinely. :D

The Way I Am
So, there's been a serious lack of blogging on my part lately, but when you spend all your time writing essays, writing just for fun looses a bit of its allure. However, I shall be going home to my beloved little hick town this summer & will have a LOT of free time. And as we all know, a lot of free time = a lot of random ramblings on my part.
Also - I would like to officially welcome Mr. Keaton Jolley, whose name fits him so perfectly it's astounding, to this little blogging circle. You should check out his blog, he's got some pretty spiffy stuff going.
Oh, blogging... what a wonderful journey of self expression and self discovery. Try it. You'll be addicted, but in a good way, like you get addicted to running or swimming or chocolate. :) I know a lot of my posts don't really seem to have a point, but just know, they are always inspired by whatever I'm musing about most. Sometimes you lucky people just get to read the thoughts that spill over - sometimes there's not room in my head for all of it, so this is where it goes.
Lastly, Happy Easter! I love Easter - I love all the trees in bloom, the fresh green grass, the promise of summer on the way. And mostly I love my Savior. I am so grateful for His sacrifice so that I might be able to live with Him and my family after this life. He can be our constant help and companion if we just let Him in to our lives and hearts.
THIS is very tender and very applicable to each and every one of us.
